Designing Instructional Media

This presentation went over the guidelines of creating an instructional media presentation. The acronym C.R.A.P meaning contrast, repetition, alignment, and proximity, were the four main points discussed in creating an effective presentation. Useful design principles in font size, inserting graphics, choosing templates, and transitions, were discussed in this presentation as well.

The content covered within the Designing Instructional Media presentation would overlap within the field of education because instructional media can be incorporated within a teacher’s lesson plan as a tool for teaching his or her students. Because this presentation discussed what should and should not present within instructional media, when I teach my future students I will use those principles to create an effective presentation. The following image shows an example of how the background was not taken into consideration when the powerpoint was created. The color variation within the background made it difficult to read the text.
